Likes on blocked posts?

Thanks! I'm in no hurry or anything so.... I did receive a message saying that likes are purged when a topic is purged, so that answers that bit, but not the bigger part.

If someone blocks you, you can still see their posts. Well, people I blocked have been able to see my posts and even quote them and reply to them, so I'm pretty sure that's how it works. If you can't see the topic any longer, it was probably deleted by moderators.

I'm not sure about the likes though, I do wonder what happens to them in such a case.

Ok! I was wondering about that. I figured if you blocked someone they wouldn't be able to see your things (posts, topics, profile) any more or reply to them. Seems kind of pointless to block someone and then they can still contact you? But oh well.

No, they can, and I agree, I wish they couldn't as well. They can see all your stuff, but you can't see their posts at all, even if they directly quote one of your posts and reply to it.

Are y'all referring to the "ignore" feature? If so, keep in mind this is not a "block" feature. It's so you don't see ("ignore") another person's posts.

When a thread is permanently deleted, the likes associated with that thread are lost... but we rarely delete threads that aren't spam. Sometimes we'll remove problematic threads from public view, but that's also very rare.

If someone is breaking our community rules of behavior, please report them immediately by flagging / clicking the warning icon on their posts that are not inline with our rules.
