Hey friends! Long time since I’ve been here needing help but as always the inevitable has struck again. This time with Lilac. She is a 3 year old Lavendar Orpington who just recently started showing signs of something. 😞 Of course, I went on a 10 day vacation and came home to this.. I feel so guilty as if my leaving caused it. Before, I left she was fine… eating laying eggs.. etc. I’ve been home for 2 days and I haven’t seen an egg from her and her bottom is poopy…there is a yellowish tint to her runny poo. (Light) she seems to be uncomfortable as she isn’t eating much and laying around a good portion of the day. Yesterday, when she was laying around her breathing was a bit labored. This morning her crop didn’t empty.. small and soft (not sour) but didn’t empty over night and I’m noticing her abdominal area feels large. It’s harder versus squishy. 😞 I have been down the EYP road a few times before so I’m worried. She free ranged this morning and ate bugs and tiny bit of egg that I offered her but no interest in food. She will drink water. Thoughts? I don’t have a vet option but I do have some fish amoxicillian on hand if you suggest that? Here she is and here is her poopy butt for color reference. I love this girl and feeling so sad that I left and she got sick!

Start her on the amoxy. You're lucky to have it on hand. There's a chance it can head off worsening EYP. The poop points in that direction.
Started the amoxicillian. She ate a few bits of yogurt and then pooped this… glad I started the amoxi. This poop looks like infection to me. 😞 I wish I’m understood why all my girls seem to develop them at around age 3. This will be my 3rd girl to develop what seems like EYP. It’s heartbreaking.
