I am subscribed to this thread so get notified when there's new posts. Where did you get your Lilacs? They are supposed to be b+b+DD, with the double dose of D (Slate), you will not get any random black markings, so yours are Dd and won't breed true. Here's my Lilac tom, I think they are one of the most beautiful varieties.

@duluthralphie I think what you have is either Blue Red Bronze (b+b+DdRr) or Red Slate (b+b+Dd).

OK got it from the turkey color genetics guru himself, Kevin Porter, what you have are Rusty Slates (Bb+DdRr) not Lilac
