Lilly's Life:

Chapter 27


The coon noticed Jaz right away and growled. My dad then left my side and joined Jaz’s side. Another pair of yellow eyes appeared behind the weeds. Then another… and another…. 5 coons now…. How are we able to beat all of them?


All of the coons laughed evilly. I gasped and started to back away. Bad mistake because the coons noticed and started at me. I screamed and ran to nothing in particular. I ran into the fence and landed on the ground. I got up as quickly as possible and turned around to face the 5 devil coons. I could tell their eyes promised to kill me.

My breathing was shallow now. I tried to look behind them but I couldn’t see my dad or Jaz. So I called them, “Daddy! Jaz!”
I heard running and the coons turned around. One of them left and attacked them. The rest looked back at me and scratched me across the eye. I held my wing out to cover my eye because it stung.
“Get away!” I shout at them but I knew it was no use. They wanted me.
I heard whimpers in the background. It was the coon. I half smiled because I knew my dad and Jaz defeated it. Now there are 4 coons to kill.
I heard one of the coons whisper to the one next to him. Then 2 of them went after Jaz and my dad. The other 2 kept narrowing in on me. I tried pushing them away but that wouldn’t work.
“Lilly?” a fimilar voice called out. “Lilly?” It was Rose!
“Ro—” I stopped because I knew that if I called her out the coons would go after her.
“Lilly!?” She was coming.
I had no choice but to tell her to stop, “Rose! No! Go back in the house!”
The coons turned around to Rose and growled and her. She started to back away.
“GO!” I scream out to her.
“But, but you!”
“Do not worry about me Rose! Save yourself!” Tears started to form in my eyes. Then she disappeared in the house. The coons turned back on me and started to grab at me with their long and gross arms.
I couldn’t tell if my dad and Jaz were beating those other 2 raccoons or not because the coons around me were gaining up on me.
Something pinched me then knock me out.
I blacked out.
