Lily and Dash, I got an EGG for Valentine's

Well I told you all lil Dash's butt was getting round...and the day before she squatted when I went to pick her up, well..you HAVE it, she laid her FIRST egg today....

Got 3 eggs today, everyone laid except for freeloading Lily.

Aw, that's great, Jill! You just send your little freeloader back to her grandmother; her mama-Lexie will whip her into shape, LOL. At least now you know Dash is a GIRL!

Its hard to believe that a silkie started laying before a barred rock.

Now that I think about it, I believe Lexie laid later than any of my other Barred Rocks, about 24 weeks. She is a great layer, though. Her eggs are larger and darker than the others, too. Great things come to those who wait, Jill, LOL. (I hope!)
