lime on floor of chicken coops..

i buy a 50 lbs of "barn lime" at Rual King for $2.49. spreading over the hay on the cement floor, covering all the poop each morning for about a week. then muck out the coop. spreading more lime , then putting fresh hay down..We have no smell, no flies..
