The Foothills Of Chickendom
I have a bucket full of lime, can I spread this over my coop floor weekly? My floor is wood shavings. Will the lime have any beneficial use and is weekly enough or more often?
With the sulfur, where should i spread it? It is pure sulfur nothing mixed in with it. Can I mix it in with the material used for the chickens nest boxes?
Also is it alright to spread it over the floor on which my ducks sleep?

I thought lime was supposed to help disinfect the coop when mucking it out.

And lime isn't a chemical it is lime stone. A rock crushed into powder form.

I'm a little confused here

I use lime for alot of my farm animals. We usually cover it with a coating of straw or other bedding to help protect the animals. I am wonder if I can use this on my coop floor as well to help keep down the urine smell.

Best keep the sulphur away from all critters. Sulphur reacts with air ( the oxygen in air) to form sulphur dioxide
