Limp - but why?!

Photos
First 3 are bad foot - had a hard time getting her to unclench 🄺
Next is her leg of bad foot.
We have felt all along her leg and toes and feel nothing out of place.

Has she started laying eggs yet?

I don't see anything that stands out about the foot/leg.

I'd let her rest and limit activity to see if that helps.

Do make sure she's eating a nutritionally balanced poultry feed, are limiting treats like scratch/mealworms, etc. Provide oyster shell and grit free choice.

Yes! She gives us good sized eggs at least one a day. She has layer mash available all the time. Hubby is getting oyster shell tomorrow and I'm giving her grit. She has all the bugs & worms nature provides! She got 2 cucumber slices and about 1TBS of scratch today.

So she's laying with no issues, I had just wondered if she may have been having a hard time with an egg and it was pressing on a leg nerve.

I thought she may have been laying at this age, I had 3 Sapphire Gems (only 1 left now) and they started laying fairly young and were good layers.

Well. I think just seeing if some rest and limited activity will help. You can give her 1/4 tablet human B-Complex daily to offer leg support.

Update: Millie has spent significant time in the dog carrier and her limp has improved! Because she's laying and she has no ability to forage, we've let her out for 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours before bed. This has been only in the last few days. It helps her mood and we haven't had any deformed or suspect eggs as she was laying in the carrier.
Thank you for all your help!

I've dealt with these types of injuries. Please read post #4 in this link:

Posted a similar issue on another post. I did find your post and read #4. I put my hen with a limp (no other injuries or odd body issues) in a dog crate for a week or so, and she still has a limp and sort of stays on her own a lot. She eats, but never has a full crop by evening. While in the crate, she didn't lay an egg (stress?). I have other Novogens, so I don't know if she has laid an egg for a while. Her poo looked normal while in the crate, no sign of worms. She is still limping. Not sure what else to do but watch her. Could it be neurological, maybe Marek's?
