Thank you all for your kind words. I can't stop crying she was so beautiful her babies are only six weeks old today. I was so happy six weeks ago she was such a good mum.

Oh you poor thing!

That is the one thing about chickens, they do tend to die on us, and just break our hearts!

Just remember that many of us would have done the exact same thing! It simply wasn't clear what was wrong. It wasn't clear what the best course of action was. I keep praying that GOD would give me cue cards! I want a giant index card to show up in front of me, that clearly lists my choices and the consequences!

But for us humans muddling through life, accept this hug through cyberspace, and remember that this pain will pass. I hope you manage to find another wonderful chicken to love.
