Our big Brahma cockerel is limping a bit and has red leg joints (They feel a bit warm to me) he's been sitting down a bit and when he stands sometimes his tail is drooping. He also has very bulgy toes but otherwise he is eating and drinking and being his usual funny self. He is 2 years old and a much loved cockerel and very much apart of the family, please can anyone help as to whether these features are normal or whether something is really wrong? He has always been quite clumsy on his feet, probably due to his weight, he's a big boy. See below close up pics of his legs and feet.

The red flush can be a normal sign of fertility in roosters. I see one of his toes looks like it got some frost bite or other injury to it. I would treat that with a wound spray. How high are your roosts? What are you feeding?
