My 8-9 month old austrolorp(no eggs yet) has been limping really bad lately on her right leg, she had the same problem a few weeks ago and she fully recovered and was walking normally but I noticed her limping again a few days ago. I checked her leg and there are no signs of visable injury and no bumblefoot.

She rests often but still makes the effort to limp away when I go near and I tried to put her in the coop to rest but she really wants to be with the others so I know she will squabble and get stressed if I lock her in the pen.

I hope it’s just another simple leg injury she can recover from :^(

We can’t afford a vet so I’m not sure what to do as of now

My duck had this problem and it was from having a niacin deficiency. I have been giving my ducks niacin supplements in their food and the one that had the limping leg and other problems is doing much better. Be careful how much you give them as one 500mg pill is enough to supplement 50 ducks! I usually take one pill capsule and sprinkle it on the top of their food and I do that every other day. They are happy and healthy! Good luck to you :)
