limping cock, weird growth on foot

When I woke up nthis morning, my rooster came out of the coop limping. I examined his foot and it appears that he has some kind of growth on it. It's the same color of his skin and it doesn't look sore, but it appears that he is in pain so i'm not sure... I think it looks like a wart almost.


any thoughts on what this could be?????

Do a search on Bumble foot on here. It is a Staph infection of the foot....

i've researched bumblefoot and i've noticed a pattern. almost all cases are on the bottom of the foot. My rooster is a Silver Dorking and he has 5 "toes" his fifth toe is located directly under his spur, so this toe never comes in contact with the ground. it is on this toe that he has the growth... could it be something else??????????????
