Last week I noticed our cherry valley boy was limping, so we scooped him up and put him in the hospital wing.
As it was a Saturday night I came on here and read through all the advice on limping ducks (there is a lot!)
We cleaned it with warm salt water, and I was fairly sure there was a scab on his foot. I followed the advice of using a potato poultice and did this for the next 24 hours, changing it twice.
I'm pleased to say that he seems to be on the mend without a trip to the vets, thanks to the brilliant advice on here. I'm still bathing his foot but he is getting exercise time in the yard for short bursts and he is definitely not limping as bad and the swelling has gone down.
So Thankyou duck owners for sharing xx
