Picture where the swelling is? Does the duck's leg feel hot at all? Check all over the leg very carefully for cuts or abscess? Is there any other signs than leg weakness? Any limpness of the neck?

Is the leg band loose on the leg? Could you answer the questions above too?

Do you have a rescue center for waterfowl or wild life anywhere around or are these yours seeing the band? Looks like possibly an injury no telling how or why but possible rest and some Meloxicam would help.

No it's just the leg. And it is warm to the touch.

If infection then an antibiotic will be needed which someone that can get their hands on this duck who has knowledge about water fowl, and can treat it appropriately.
