Limping pekin

Here are some pictures I have when wrapping my ducks feet. I used sports tape, vet wrap. They like to have their feet open and not completely wrapped. This is great, I'll get some of the antibiotic from chew.com first and wait till I have all my found together first. I guess I'll need at least an 18g needle to try and aspirate and infection because of it being so thick... what did you use to help with her pain

The vet gave me rymidal in liquid form that they made. It’s an anti inflammatory and pain med. not sure if you can get that without the vet because you can’t consume their eggs while on it or 45 days after. I’m not sure if @casportpony would what to use over the counter.

Yes I did. I guess you have the infection in the ankle and under the foot.

So in all that you have dealt with would that be you best diagnosis, the infection has traveled to her ankle? I have ordered the antibiotic that you've suggested but it want me here until the 28th

It can travel to the bone also so it needs to be taken Care of as soon as possible . Staff isn't something to let go of for long.

Honestly in my option, you have what looks to be an infection in the joint that is causing the limping. The bumble under the foot may have caused this infection to go to the ankle. but i would rather have a vet look at this then to try and do this yourself. My duck had Mycoplasma in the ankle. I am not saying that is what yours have but it does resemble it alot.

My poor gal was on a bunch of meds for over a month to get her better. Either way the infection will need to come out in order for it to heal.
