One of my Pekin hens is limping, seems to be favoring her left foot. Not sure what happened, maybe when we took them down to the stream Sunday, but I did not notice until Yesterday, and at that I wasn’t real sure. Picking her up it looks normal enough and she kicks and squirms with it. But she doesn’t attempt any evasive maneuvers when I go to pick her up. She’s our friendliest duck and most willing to be held too. I am
Wondering about slipped tendon? But I don’t know what that looks like. Should I just let it ride?

She could have bumble foot. Our Pekins were
Getting it b/c I was letting them free range too much. Now we know that these large ducks need to chill more! Ha ha!
Our drake was like this too once (no bumble foot) and he just pulled a muscle. We kept them all in their fenced pen and the next day he was fine

Her feet really look fine to me, they are dirty, and maybe a little callous but I don’t see anything weird. Also no apparent swelling in either leg.

They do look good except for that little scab spot, is it on her right foot? Usually bumble foot in our experience is right at the bottom pad where it is really soft.
The little dark red spot in the web? It is discolored, but has consistent texture. Her feet are more rough than the Rouens but don’t look bad on their own, she also weighs a lot more. How about the tip of the right center toe? Again, if I wasn’t looking for it I wouldn’t see it but it’s a little darker than the other foot

Yes that’s what I referring too. Maybe she just cut it on something and it’s healing nicely.

The tip of the toe, does it feel like a scab or just dirt? If it is a scab, don’t peel it off unless if you have wrap and stuff to clean it.
Does her foot feel warm to the touch at all?

our girls weigh a lot too! Lol! Almost 10 pounds

Is it possible she stepped in a hole or tripped on something. We know how they are prone to walking over everything.
It’s possible she just sprained her leg or something. And rest is just in order.

What you’re seeing is something all Heavyweight Breed Owners are going to experience at some point in time, leg problems. At her age, a slight sprain would probably be the likely cause. For my lame Pekins, I might give them a little bit of aspirin to help alleviate some of the pain, in addition, B vitamins, maybe a few Epsom salt soaks, but the main thing is just to give her time to rest so she can start feeling better. If she can't put any weight on the leg at all, it may be best to separate her into her own little quarters until she can.
