Limping Pullet- Not bumblefoot

yeah, I know treats should only be 10%, but if they'll eat them I feel like they should. My EE won't eat at all right now unless it's mealworms. I can't separate her because it's too much stress for both her and the other two. I have 2 out of 3 that should be in intensive care but that would leave the remaining one all alone.

The original vet appointment I had scheduled for my limpy girl is on Tue. I ended up getting in somewhere else but never cancelled the original one at the chicken vet closer to my house. I think I'll keep it and take my EE (puffed up & sneezing) in to be seen. I'll get a fecal as well. I'm surprised that the vet yesterday didn't get a fecal. I was so devastated by the news of the enlarged spleen & kidneys (and prognosis not good) that I forgot to press for the fecal.

I might be a total fool, but I'm still holding out hope that this isn't Marek's. My limpy girl's symptoms could definitely be but my EE's are more consistent with a respiratory issue. I think the stress of having my limpy girl gone from the flock overnight did her in. She was fine until then. She's always been a little sneezy but no discharge and no puffiness and definitely not lethargic. Now all those are present except still no discharge and her eyes are clear.

Stress can cause underlying illness to show symptoms. I'm glad you are able to keep your appointment with the vet.
Hopefully they will be able to give you some solid information on how to proceed.

thank you so much for your response. Had to put her down today :-( I did absolutely everything I could (antibiotics, ACV, Silver hydrosol, homeopathic meds, yogurt, chick starter crumbles, rescue remedy and VetRx) but she was having a hard time breathing as of yesterday and it wouldn't be humane to keep her in that state. My EE died in my arms on Tue and I have a very lonely, very scared little Barred Rock that I'm praying will hold on and make it through. I sent my EE for necropsy and the preliminary findings were differential Pneumonia from infectious causes and Marek's. Also, the fecal I had done showed no parasites. I'm assuming it's Marek's since both had masses in their kidneys. If my BR makes it another few weeks, I'll be getting a couple of started pullets fully vaccinated that will help her feel like a flock again. UGH! What a week! I can't remember the last time I cried this much! :-(

I'm so sorry! It's always hard losing a loved bird, let alone two! I hope your Barred Rock can make it through to the new chickens and be happy again. Good luck!
