Link doesn't insert where the cursor is

I have got it to work using the highlight text which takes it to the box. How odd that it will do it that way but not the other?

This is exactly what I did and it works. Not sure why it won't work without highlighting.

I find it funny that you guys never highlighted the words to add a link to first.
i have always done it that way and never had an issue.

It's funny how we all do things differently to get the same end result.

I do like you, or double-click the word, then do a ctrl-k.
