liquid shelled egg

i just went get eggs and i dont know what to say this was crazy this looked nuts it was shaped kind of like a liver it had a tube about like a coffie straw on one end and a short regular straw on the other end you could see the yolk through the soft shell and it was kind of chalkey this isent the first one i got with a soft shell but the other one was round like an egg just soft like a turtle egg dose any one know what causes this all the other eggs are verry strong shells my daughter threw one at me it bounced off me the couch hit the floor and still dident break i feed them 16%special derry shell corn thay free range after2pm and get all table scraps and egg shells for calsiam

every once in a while I'll get a "leather egg" like that. Do a search on here for leather egg or shelless egg and there are a bunch of threads about it. You could try offering oyster shell free choice to them. Also, how old are they? Any chance that one is just starting to lay or one is at the end of her laying?
