litter training rabbits?

I took a litter box, put nothing in it but a bit of hay and some "chocolate drops" the bunnies produced and they jumped right in and started using it. I read that they like eating and pooping at the same time.

I can't remember if they were fixed at the time, but they are now. For litter I use Feline Pine. I have to secure them in the corner though, or they still try to tip them over.

i use the hard plastic corner litter boxes that are for ferrets.BunBun threw around the other ones this one clipped in but now that he's used to it he leaves it in place.

I put some of the doe's drops in each pan. never seen my buck so still for so long (minus sleeping!)

so far he is leaving it upright and sitting in it now and then
she is hanging out in her's biting it

For my Holland Lop, I too use the corner rabbit litter box with the grate. I use wood pellets and scoop out the inside corner that gets wet once a day.

It took a couple weeks to figure out which corner she wanted it in. And then I took food bowls and put them in the corners I didn't want her peeing in.

She uses the box 100% of the time for peeing but still drops her little balls around occasionally.

I formed a screen box with fencing material and placed that over wood pellets in a cat litter box and added hay to one end on top of the screen. When one side was soiled I'd turn it until all four sides were dirty then it would be time to change out the soiled litter and start over.

I used newspaper over the litter liners in the pan and emptied out the soiled litter by removing the screen and tipping the newspaper and litter into the trash can.
No need to change the liner each time and it lasted for many changes.

No doubt about it, fixed rabbits train a lot easier than unfixed ones.

not quite understanding. do you have a pic?

well I had them outside yesterday in their cages and oh course the buck hops right into his litter box to pee. brought them in for the night and he is not using it. silly rabbit

Add some hay at one end and if you can, make a few of these than you can just exchange the soiled one with a clean one. Hope you all try this cause it saves a lot of cleanup!

Mine for the most part are littler trained. I did however had to tie the box down.
Rabbits love to rearrange their stuff. LOL

I have a corner litter box, with cat litter in it our bunny won't go in it. Should I put the food dish beside it? would shaving or shreded paper work better?
She is a holland lop female.
