I read gasping can be caused by gape worm and also by heart problems. I'm not sure what you have available over there that might treat gape worms, but if you can find something, you might want to try it. The heart problems were related to too much weight.
A few days ago, one of my 8 week old chicks started to gasp for air. It was actually more like labored breathing. I separated her and then just a little while later, she had a piece of fuzz hanging from her beak. It was wrapped around her tongue and I had to cut the fuzz to get it out. She was fine after that. Have you looked in its mouth to see if there might be something blocking its airway?
I hope your chick will be alright!
