Little Bumps on Eggs

Whitey has recently started laying eggs with little bumps on one end. I've never noticed this before and was wondering if this is a sign of something odd. It is like a group of little bumps / cluster on one end of the egg. Any ideas??? Thanks - Matthew

My chickens sometimes get that too...it's calcium deposits..I don't know why they get them by the go away and com back often.

a lot of my hens lay eggs simular to what you describe. We eat them all and have never had any problems. I've just always assumed its part of having a backyard flock... you may not always get PERFECT eggs...

You'll be surprised at the strange things you'll get from your girls!!!

But like I said, we eat them all. Once cracked open they all look the same...
