little giant 9300

Trying to figure out where to move the temp probe before lockdown. I currently have it on top of eggs thinking that's not good for hatch time. Any ideas? Culled the quitter today too, can't stand eggtopsy such a bummer, hopefully I won't be doing that again any time soon!

i laid the clear plastic piece on top of the eggs. On my next hatch, i plan to use egg cartons during lockdown

How many did you order and how far are they traveling? I've ran this entire set in egg cartons the whole time, turning is just moving them side to side. Good luck with your eggs arriving in good shape! We've had summer arrive here and woke up today to incubator at 101.6, alarming! Lockdown starts tomorrow.

I wouldn't be too alarmed, as long as your eggs don't get above 102.5 for a lengthy period of time, they should be fine.

I would be nervous too Bama, two dozen is a good amount to start with and shorter distance should help too! Thanks Rocky, here's hoping I didn't cook them!

I candled again last night, I thought it was day 10 but when I looked at my calendar it was actually day 11 (oops!), I hope I didn't do any harm. I pulled one that was definitely infertile, completely clear. The remaining 10 all had something going on inside, I could make out the air cells and general darkness in about half the interior but couldn't say definitively if they were at the right stage of development. So I think I'm just going to leave them all in the incubator through hatch day and hope I'll sniff anything out if I have a bad one.

Tomorrow is day 18 for my broody! It's going to be an exciting weekend.

Little giant 9300 vs shipped eggs.... all my eggs arrived safely from cowgirl75446. Blue isbars, crested cream legbars, blue marans, cuckoo marans, black copper marans, and wheaton marans
