little giant 9300

Oh no lol yah I know that's too much ...I'm in lockdown...and I usually run 65% in my Hatcher but right now my reading are all over.but one is saying 76% now just making sure that's not to high

It might take awhile to level out since you just opened it. The windows fog up completely with 60-70% you do not want that. It is nerve racking good luck on your hatch!

I couldn't agree more with those that say the new style lg9300 is junk. It is pure and simple junk.

I usually incubate in my big cabinet incubator and hatch in the smaller varieties. This affords me to stagger what not. My 1588's are solid and are consistent. Even got a FI with added fan and dial indicator that works well. I never trust any of the factory gauges. I have added gauges to everything and when I'm ever in doubt, I check with my infrared gun that is certified every 6 months.

I do have a 9300 with added fan sitting on the shelf and I won't give it away or loan it out as it's that bad. Not even sure why I keep it around.

The little giants work great for starting veggie seeds. I used mine for pepper and tomato seeds. Worked great.
Terrible at hatching eggs though

It's worked great for me..I just haven't used it for lockdown yet....but we'll see...I love my little giant incubator...it's worked for the first 18 days for all my black sex link eggs I put in there so far.. I usually do around 12 at a time and get 9 to 11 out of it.

I just about had it dialed in this last hatch going totally dry, then 40% with sponges and both plugs in day 1-18. And putting it in the basement. However when I let the broody do it she hatched all the eggs no hassles! I don't hatch much so I don't need an incubator, TG!

I got that little giant down for the first18 days...no water..leave in red plugs put thermometer on 99.7 and at night throw a towel over it.. only because I put my fan on at night...just like that I always get good hatches and my temperatures never jump around like others claim...I just haven't figured out how much water to put to get humidity right because I never hatched from ...didn't wanna get it dirty. Haha..plus I got the auto egg Turner in there...I love that thing...but putting them in a egg carton with a pvc pipe underneath abd just switch it from side to side every 8 hours works just the same

Yeah your lucky none of my hens will go broody...I just got a black australorp baby chick in the hopes that she will go Broody

Get a couple of Silkie hens if you want to hatch every 3-6 months they go broody. I've got one girl who if I feed too many treats goes broody when her crop is too full, so silly I really have to watch it with her. She also can cover a dozen eggs at a time. So much easier taking them off the nest for a break twice a day than me hovering over an incubator all day. They're hard to break out of brooding too, I could order eggs and by the time they got here they'd still be broody.
