Okay! I now have an Isbar chick but I think I am going to have to spread its toes out because they are curled. Its having a hard time standing up. Here are some pictures!!!

My two French Copper Black Marans that hatched two days ago.

My Silver looking Isbar that hatched this morning. Might be Blue or Splash.

The most recent hatch with the FBCM and Isbar. Two of my four that I had to hatch in a carton hatched!!!! I still have 8 waiting to hatch. Most of pipped internally. I candled them this morning to check for movement. So now I just wait!!! I hope they will hatch. I mean I am on day 23 with my BCM and day 22 with the Isbars. I am Praying!!!!

Day 21 and Nada .... I candled them and lost the aracuna... did an eggtopsy and it looked like it died at around day 14... both the 2 silkie egg chicks were moving all around the shell... but no internal pips.

They seemed SO small in the shell... so maybe late hatchers? I put them back in the bator and will give another 2 days before candeling again.....

I REALLY want these silkies to hatch.... as a racoon took out my only silkies I had in the flock 2 months ago. :(

I HATE racoons, and lost a silkie to them. My silkies like to sleep on the ground outside, and the first night I brought them home 3 years ago, a racoon reached in and pulled most of one through the wire. That was when I added a second run of wire 1 ft inside the other to keep them away from the walls.

Coons are crafty little boogers!

Do these look shrinkwrapped to you guys? I decided to check them because I heard no cheeping nor did I see any movement. They both pipped internally but thats as far as they made it.

This one looks like the beak was deformed as well.

I've had them drown in the shell, but I've never seen a membrane that tight. That has to be shrink wrap. I've never actually seen it

This is shrink wrapped:

There were my two silkies that didn't make it.

Those look nice and moist. I really don't think they are truely shrinkwrapped, but I could be wrong.

How long were the eggs out before you broke off the air cell? How many days had it been incubating? Did you wet that membrane before taking the pic? It appears that the membrane is away from the inside of the shell way down in there. Is it? or is my perception just off? Looks more like it drowned to me.
