It's easy to panic in the wee hours of the morning. Been there, done that. Sorry it took me so long to answer. Been hectic today.
The condensation on the window should have disappeared after a while. It doesn't seem to hurt the eggs to only open the lid a crack big enough to add more water to the sponge. Especially if the room air has a little humidity in it. Before I got the humidifier I used to hang wet towels on the back of a chair close to the incubator.
Once the eggs have pipped it's more critical to have the humidity around 65% since dry air can cause them to shrink wrap.
