little giant incubator

I calibrate my meter in the room Im incubating in...because here in the house my a/c temp is way different than in the shop next door where I have the bator...no windows in that room, door closed but a/c on 75 over there, when I have a problem with needing to change my temp or humidity...I raise or lower my a/c depending on what I need my bator to do.

I do NOT touch the knob on my bator to change the settings in my bator, I do it via my a/c in the room...

what about the red air vents on top...I have one of mine out because I thought the directions said to?

First thing I do with the red plugs is toss them in the garbage or give them to the kids for art projects. They will keep the humidity at 73% lockdown where I keep mine just fine and my eggs get more air that way. My LG actually had extra holes added to it as well. I should add my LG and all small bators have the fan added
They are all too small unless you dish out the $ for a cabinet

Married to a contractor so I never pay for anything to be made..just parts we don't have around here already My wood scrap pile has been getting real small lately though-chicken coops, bators,it never ends! .Still like the small ones to hatch with though so the kids can see it better..ok you'll see me with the flashlight watching too

I tossed the plugs and balanced my temps with it all the way unplugged, had lots better results that way.

I eventually went to home made because I hated top opening, small incubators. But my LG worked once I got used to it.

Woo Hoo Dawn is gonna join us!!!! Well Im hatching started early today...and have lots of pips...gonna be a heck of a night, this is day 20 in my LG I might add....

let me know Dawn...when are you setting eggs in? you have to fire up the LG and test it out for a few days, and calibrate your meter also....

I am thinking wither the laundry room or the storage building. the laundry room is connected to the house but no AC or heat and the storage building is concrete blocks and no AC or heat. I think the laundry room would be more temp stable.

If you set the bator does it adjust to maintain a certain heat?
