Hi all, I am looking for an alternate replacement cap that works as well as teh original on a Little Giant Waterer. The little black screw on cap that seals off the bottom while filling it, and otherwise is stored on a little threaded button made to hold it on the plastic container. Photo attached.

They are not that easy to get for cheap, but very oddly I have NOT found any little lid that works for it. If any of you know of an easy replacement lid, please let me know. This is NOT for the big black top lid, but the little lid.

Thanks!
Chuck

Maybe it can be printed in a 3-D printer. Some libraries have maker spaces with 3-D printers. Alternatively, maybe a high school has one and someone can make one as a project or extra credit.

I need one too. Are they not available from the company's website or something?
BLC, they sure are available, for about $6.xx on the bay and elsewhere. Seems over the top for what it is. Disturbing how proprietary these are for their specific application. I'm hoping for something simply found elsewhere,

Acre, very coincidental you mentioned 3D stuff. I just assembled both hardware and software a 3D modeling machine for my Dad to work with. He's an old hand with CAD extensively, and loves 3D printing concepts. I'll get his grey matter to work on it. No doubt he'll have something able to be produced soon thereafter. I'll update here when he comes up with anything helpful.

Thanks for the replies,
Chuck

I'm using a pointed dowel made out of a pencil. Don't forget to break the lead off before using.
