After rehoming Joe Dirt, I was hoping the two big pullets would be nicer to the younger gals and two cockerals. Took a few weeks though, but last afternoon we had a breakthrough.
I release the two older gals from jail.
Instead of attacking the chicks as they have done for the last two weeks, the seem interested in me.
This young pullet needs to have a talk with me about this situation.
The ladies head for the outdoors.
They head for the grass.
Little Joe watches from a safe distance.
The two older sisters enjoy a grass/dirt bath.
And at the end of the day they roost for the night. Nobody had battle wounds.
What a relief!
