little red bugs???

so today a walked in to my chicken house and just happened to be close to some chicken poop that piles up where the chickens roost and noticed a ton of little red crawling bugs all over the chicken poop. just wondering if anyone knew what they are and how to get rid of them

Could you post a picture? There are lots of different bugs that can bother the birds, and others that are just there for the droppings. They can sometimes be hard to tell apart.

i cant post a pic but there red and about the size of a pen head

Are they more like worms? Are there any on the chickens? Do they have legs or not?

i didnt see any on my chcikens but i didnt really look the best their not worms but just like little bugs with little legs i guess

They are most likely there for the droppings. If you clean up under the perches they should go away.
