Little shed into a coop - My summer project.

Thanks!

Tonight is their 3rd night in the coop. I was going to keep them in there for a few days, but the first afternoon they looked hot and bored, so I let them out into the yard. Of course, I had to go put them back into the coop for bed, because they were trying to get into their old coop. I went out tonight to put them to bed, and was very impressed to find 7 out of 8 of my girls had found their way into the new coop and on their roost. One girl was roosting on top of the old coop. I bet she figures it out by tomorrow. (Kinda strange she didn't follow the rest, especially since she is usually close by the other girl that I got with her.)

Anyway, The run is half done. The frame is done, and I stained it today. Hoping to get it done by Monday. :)

Looks great. Glad you could let your girls help with the project. I bet they tell their friends with great pride. My grandson is helping with mine. He is 8. He and my DW and brother went with me to get mine. 2 barred cochins and 2 buff silkies. I am turning and old 8 X 8 shed into my coop.

I liked the links to the different door ideas. That is what I like about this site. Sharing with each other.

Good luck on your run.

You did a great job and it looks so cute. I hope you'll share photos of the run also.
