Yes I took her out of the nesting box and put her in my lap and I heard her making weird noises, looked at her vent and out comes an egg

THAT IS HILARIOUS!!

Yeah I was like "Oh my gosh Nugget just laid an egg on me!"

Thanks! He is pretty cool. And fat. All along his breast bone is fat. You can hardly feel the bone

It just comes to show a chicken really doesn't need all those fancy nesting boxes! Obviously she was pretty comfortable! And my lap must be comfy!

thanks and we have a broody silkie hen and i am sorry but our silkies are molting the other hens that was laying so you may or may not get the silkie eggs
