Reminds me of the time I had 8 chicks and 1 survived. (5 years ago, and I still have the survivor) You just have to move on...
I know I know it's just really hard right now. But I I have a big show coming in two weeks and I might be getting more chicks saturday and I set some pheasant eggs, so I need to think of the positive things. I might type a lot but it helps me when I talk about why I loved my animals so much so here it goes:

Annabeth was the first chick I hatched out of an incubator, so she was special from the beginning. I noticed she had a neck problem I was hoping it was just from being in the egg. I played with her last night. She sat on my chest and slept. Then she would wake up and look all around the room with her crooked head. She had the most absolute cutest face in the world. I couldn't help but smile when I saw her face. She was my favorite hen's baby. I got attached very easily. But it was worth the few hours I had her.

Kid Rock, I looked for his breed forever and finally found a breeder in MO. I ordered 15. I cried when they came in the mail because I was so thrilled and happy. I played with 6 of the chicks the most, Speckles, Lacey(RIP) Jo-Jo, Kid Rock Billy Jo, and Splash. Kid Rock was the little rooster we played with. We knew right off the bat he was a rooster by his face. We loved him. He grew into a great rooster. He was sweet, good to his girls, a good proctecter, and absolutely beautiful! He sired some great chicks. He was a wonderful rooster. When I figured out it was Marek's, I was heart broken. I knew we didn't have much of a chance but I still had hope and tried my hardest. Sadly, he was suffering and I couldn't let him suffer. We took him to our local Vet and she put him down for us. The visit was sad but we talked more about the chickens and how great of a rooster Kid Rock was.

Yeah she is. She was my favorite hen named Nugget's baby and she was the first to hatch in my incubator. She had crooked neck. I tried to help her but I guess God didn't want her to suffer. She was the cutest chick I have ever seen...literally

AWW its kinda like marshmallow to me. Cutest chick i had ever seen, went to check on her one day and she was dead :'(
Thanks. I don't think I've had a harder day in raising chickens yet :( But that's life and everything happens for a reason.
Ive had worse. I once had 40 chickens, loved them all half to death. Came up one day to check on them and only 4 were alive. Feathers were in piles everywhere. Worse day ever. :(
