I have a fantastic broody light sussex hen thats ready for action again.

Would she be to big/heavy for quail eggs?

How often does she go broody? Mine is about six months old and I am wondering when she will go broody, if at all.

I would say she probably is too big, but you can always try! She might not even take the eggs, I tried giving my tiny OEGB hen some quail eggs once, she just looked at me like I was joking

She's about a year old and this is her 3rd time, she's hatched and mothered 2 lots of chicks and I've no chicken eggs at the minute.

Shelly she's actully setting on some stones now

I just might see can I get a few quail eggs nd try

She's Gonna Mess Then Eggs Up Like Polio!

Seriously Tho If She's Not Too Big To Crush The Eggs By Either Sitting On Them Or Stepping On Them She'll Definately Crush Them When They Pip Or Hatch.... Go To The Grocery Store And Buy Her A Dozen!

OK so I abandoned that idea then

I'll pick up some big eggs for her.

I would have think she might be a little too large for quail eggs. Would be interested in knowing any success anyone else has had with bantams hatching quail eggs and what breed has worked with success.
