Living life on the edge (of the incubator) hatch-a-long

None of my hens submit. They get caught and basically say "Fine. Hurry up"

Than they peck the hell out of the roo that mounted them. 😆

Cleopatra (RIR) escaped the yard, so got her back in, only problem was when I herded her to the yard, Snape got in. At least he is keeping the boys off the hens. Only thing is he is trying to mount them. Hook is in the front today, visiting, with his wife/gf. We'll anytime Snape mounts a female, Hook charges at him and drop kicks him. It's hilarious to see this huge Australorp get drop kicked by this tiny RIR/silkie mix.
Oh my goodness would love to see it, but then someone would mistaken it for porn 🫣 lol 😆 😂

Good morning, Snape you're da man! :wee :gig
The girls seem to like his size. If only he wouldn't peck my baby and 4 year old. He always snaps at Noah (2 yo) immediately. Granted he is a bundle of energy and always tries to hug everything. Chickens included lol. I am torn on throwing him and the boys in the "Bachelor Backyard" or letting him stay up front until one of the other roosters shows they can be in charge. Snape isn't a good rooster. He is just a meh rooster. Hook is waaaay better. But he wanders, and only likes his wife Callie lol.

Our old guard rooster got mad because my wife passed him by with out giving him his treat so he started to give her grief. A big red ranger boy came to her rescue. The new kid on the farm took the old boy out and sent him on his way and stayed next to his mom while she tended the rest of the coops. He got the treat.

I am hoping one of my 4 cockerels turns into a good roo. They are only about 6 months old. Snape (my Australorp roo) is about a year old. If only they would learn from Hook.

@2ndTink how are the babies doing? How is my Grinchy boo?
They got booted out of the house and into the new coop outside! More space and lots of fresh air. They seem to be enjoying it. They have the fancy silkies in the coop next door, so life is good! Only a month or so until we may have eggs!
