Llamas for bird protection?

We have a llama and some alpacas. I don't know how protective they would be about birds, but they are used quite a bit around here for guard animals. We have found dead possum, muskrat, coon and the like in their enclosure. For the most part, they don't mind humans (except the llama, he doesn't like female humans). I haven't introduced our furry animals to our feathered ones but I think they would provide some protection just due to proximity.

They will do more than spit, they will stomp, kick, and if they have their fighting teeth, sometimes even try to bite.

I haven't seen personally how they would work with protecting chickens, but it seems possible. My neighbor has 3 llamas and she also has a few dozen head of ram and sheep. The sheep have big curly horns? I've read that llamas and alpacas have a natural aggression towards dogs and will try and kill them. This would work really well for coyotes in that case and they may even ward off smaller predators too. Especially if someone else^ has seen it happen.
