I really miss fresh seafood. Trade off of living in the country...
Me too, nothing quite like fresh.

Hey, I'll get some dry ice and trade you some fresh fish for some venison. Not many hunters up here, and those that do hoard what they get. LOL
Up here in WY, whole towns shut down for hunting season in the fall. I think DH & I are the only ones that don't participate.
My family moved to Western Ohio when I was a freshman in High School. In November it wasn't uncommon to have kids show up late, leave early and in camo for the day. It wasn't uncommon for their fathers to drop them off with a rifle in the rack in the truck, or a rifle to sit in the gun rack on the truck the kid drove to school.
I'm trying to re-populate my place. It was so heavily hunted before I bought it that we were down to one family. I think we're now up to 20 or so and mostly very young. I think I've counted about six mature does, so we'll have more babies this summer. Two of the does have had twins the last two years.
Next time, try it with just a little butter and some Old Bay seasoning. If you can find the split-top rolls, you can lightly grill the roll on each side before stuffing it with the lobster, butter, and Old Bay. It’s yummy! It was not nearly as bad as I was expecting with the mayo.
It is not something I plan to make regularly though...unless @Frazzemrat1 gives me her lobster prices!
Thanks guys.
And belly clams! Drooling!!well, its probably gone then. The only sandwich shop around now is a subway.
When it comes to any seafood around here, including lobster, the best prices is to go down to the docks and get it fresh off the boat. Unfortunetly its not on my way home from work, so I haven't tried doing it, but I've heard that the prices can't be beat in any supermarket or fish market. Yes, we even have fish markets here. LOL There's one not far from where I live where you can walk into the market, pick a specific filet or fish or lobster and they'll cook it however, and you go to the restaurant and eat. Not talking fish and chips kinda place (although they have it), talking like a fairly high end store and restaurant.
Though, I bet you guys got us beat on Gulf fish and shrimp prices. What we're getting up here is cold water fish like cod, blue fish, stuff like that.
