Lobster Roll recipe needed (New England style)

Do I even want to know what this belly stuff is?
Just the name is making me gag.

A 'whole belly' clam is the whole clam. We usually batter and fry them and then eat them with tarter sauce and fries or onion rings. The other way to eat fried clams is in 'clam strips', are just the back muscle of the clam, that keeps the shell shut. Most New Englanders prefer 'bellies' over 'strips'. You know a lobster roll (or Lobsta, as is often said up here)? We have those, but we also have clam rolls (and shrimp rolls, and scallop rolls.Mmmmm), and you often have the option of bellies or strips. Actually, if you go to a clam shack that doesn't sell both, you're in the wrong place.

Gods, now I can't wait until spring for the clam shacks to open back up!

Hey I know fried clam strips! The local Chinese restaurant sells them.
