20 % Protein Pellets for Chicken Food
$12.00 per bag, each bag weighs 50 pounds.
This feed is made from Corn, barley, peas, lentils, beans and Soy. This feed has a minimum of 20% protein and all natural.

This is a local add for Chx feed. Any thoughts? I'm feeding IFA layer pellets right now. I'm paying more for it and I'm wondering if I can switch to this local producer.

corn 7-9% protein
barley 13% protein
peas 24.5% protein
lentils and beans should be cooked (I know some feed raw lentils but I have qualms about it)
soy MUST be cooked (anti-nutrients)- all commercial soy meal is roasted for poultry so if this is standard it is prob. ok
20% protein is great!
I prefer organic soy, but some don't.
See my BYC page if you would like to see my recipe (more expensive though than commercial)

You might want to google raw lentils and beans (if the beans in the recipe are raw) to see if you are wanting to feed those. Some do sprout them, but I think that's too much work.

I know I just muddied the waters, but this is my 2 cents.
