Lock dow the eggs, standing or lying?

I just got my turner last month. When I lock down the eggs on the 18th day, should I turn off the turner and let the eggs stand on it, or take off the turner and let the egg lie down?

You can do either or its a personal prefrence...I lay mine down

I always remove the turner at lockdown. Too much risk of a chick getting a leg, wing or head caught in it, as well as the mess!
