I have a frizzle cochin and a banty BLRW out! I know I'm selfish, but I'd really like to skip my daughter's girls scouts tonight

Doesn't look like anything else is even pipped. Still- for so many eggs being shipped, and power failures.....I'm happy.

Boy, have I had a long day and all chicken related and all good. (for once) My silkie that was lost in the mail was located around 1 am and we drove over an hour to go and get him. I didn't want them putting him in another truck. Then got a few hours sleep and had to go in the other direction to pick up a frizzle roo. When we got there I decided to buy a white silkie roo also. When we got home from all that I had an egg pipped. Now there are 2 more pipped and the first one is about half way through zipping. There is movement out of another one. There are 7 due to hatch today and then 2 more in a few days. Later today I'll add the eggs that i've had held back a few days to go in. The ones hatching are all EE's and the ones going in are AO, PR, and EE.

The flat tire and rain hasn't spoiled a thing for me today. I'll post pic when I can.

Eggs haven't hatched yet but here's my new roos.
This is the one that was lost in the mail. The first pic is when we got home in the early am hours and I put him in an aquarium to get him out of the box and feed and water him. I think he was jet lagged

Same Silkie but in new pen this morning. He got more active after being out of the box and getting food and water. He also got to see the rest of my flock and there was a crowing contest for hours.

Then these we picked up at a fairly local breeder. The frizzle appears to me to be mixed with a Japanese Bantam. I saw his father and he really looked like a Frizzled Japanese Bantam. Very pretty. They are both 3 months old.

How exciting!!! COngratulations to all the parents to be? I will be a parent all over again early next week. Hopefully I will have a good hatch. I have 7 GLW, 4 SLW, 4 light sussex, 10 orpington/araucana cross, 15 bobwhite quail and 25 japanese quail...all to hatch next week. I know its gonna get a bit crazy around the house trying to find a place to house them all if they all hatch.

I am in Lockdown as well. Have my first little baby chick. I am so excited. Oh please let me have more . Congrats on yours.

I did see movement out of one of the eggs that I haven't since I locked them down.

I got 1 chick and 2 pips still. The chick was shrink wrapped so I helped it out. Its in there just chirping away. Looks to be a long night for me

how long until I take my chick out of the incubator? I think she is about 5 hours old. (notice I say she) lol

beckychick- you can take HER out now if she's pretty dry. Mine never dry in the bator- they just get crusty.
