Lock Down Day! Anyone Else?

I am on day 22, and I have a pip. I hatched out three chicks yesterday, and I had 8 eggs in lock down. One of the chicks I hatched has its umbilical cord still sicking out, so I went to town and got some polysporin and Q-tips, and put that all over the area and placed him in a plastic container in the incubator. He is gaining strength, and the cord is turning black (getting ready to fall off, I hope). The pip has made no progress and it has been in a non- changing state for hours. Urg.

Here are pics of the ones I hatched so far:

I replaced the paper towel since yesterday. She is gorgeous!

And two other babies. All the chicks are mutts of some sorts from a batch of mostly Delawares, and some Easter Eggers, Barred Rocks, And Rhode Island Reds, as well as a few mystery chickens. One of the chicks has feathery feet, so she must be part mystery chicken!

Just went into lockdown this morning- thought I saw #4 move a few minutes ago. I thought my mind was playing tricks-wishful thinking right? Nope, #4 rocked and it's day 18! They were collected up to 4 days after rooster was put in bachelor coop and stored at room temp for 7 days. What are the odds of an early hatcher?? :) High probability it looks like. Oh yeah- was collecting hatching eggs for a customer that ended up not being able to pick up til storage day 12 or 13. Decided to put oldest ones (10 days) in my bator for a staggered hatch. Why not? I turned them while collecting daily so they should survive lockdown of 1st batch.

Somehow I miscounted my eggs and had 12 instead of 11. I have had 9 hatch so far out of the 12 but one didn't make it. I helped it out the shell because it was breached. I guess I should have waited a bit longer. I will wait until Monday to see what happens before I toss the remaining eggs. I was really surprised I got this many because I thought I had cooked them.

Oh Wow!!! Good luck!!!
Here is my total:
3 out of 12 eggs. There were three infertile, and one that died because I put in on a temperature unregulated shelf in my incubator. 8 went into lock down. Two died while internally pipping and drowned I think. Some were premature deaths (like day 17) and Some just didn't live. Here is my bunch of chickies:

My unwell chick, Bella, who has a bit of her umbilical cord sticking out, which I am fixing, and it is getting better.

Her body is still wet from the slippery polysporin I put on her bum that got everywhere. xD

My cute chick with no name yet! I think she is half Delaware half Easter Egger. :O

Royal cuteness, Sophie, the first chick to hatch.

Sophie and no name sleeping together. :D
