Lock Down on the 23rd

Right now, I have 1/2 vent plugs out. On fridy should I put it back in the hole before I "lock down"? How much water should I put in? Right now I am putting 1/2 cup every 3 days to kkep the humidity between 40-50%.

P.S. I have never hatched with an incubator before. My last hatch was in a wooden box with a light bulb over head.

Humidity is too low!!!!

Chickens need min. of 50%, 60% is ideal. Water fowl should be 60 - 65%

I was told humidity should be 38 - 42 day 1 to 18 then 70% at lockdown. Is this right?

Thats what my impression was. My question is if I need to put the plug back in inorder to maintain humidity..... I was told ig the humidity is above 60% for the whole hatch the chicks will drown.
