I have 12 "suprise" chicken eggs that were locked down last night at 8pm. This time they were in an automatic turner for the first 18 days so hopefully I will have a better hatch than the 50% I had last time turning by hand. As of Sunday night all 12 were alive and kicking when I candled them.

Update: Early day 20, checked incubator this morning, VERY early on Day 20, 1 egg pipped and 3 rocking! Since I missed the last hatch due to poor scheduling, (I had to work) I very carefully planned when I would set the eggs so I would be home for the hatch. Planned a 3 day weekend figuring they MIGHT start tonight, but NO, here they go again earlier than expected! Little egg heads!

I'm trying to time my hatch as well. I'm working two jobs at the moment so I'm setting them when i get home tonight (about 11pm). I'll stay up all night if I have to when day 21 comes around for me.

I went into lockdown at 8:00pm tonight. I set 6 eggs and 2 were clear on day 13, so I tossed them. I candled right before putting eggs in lockdown and all 4 were moving. My last hatch was 0%, so anything will be better this time. Good luck with the rest of your little chicklets!
