Hi all hatchers. Just started my lockdown at 10:55. Got everything stable humidity and temperature wise. Of course today it is raining so my previous test runs regarding humidity are skewed. I see a lot of folks stick with 60% during lockdown but others go even higher. We are in Nor California, the heat is on because it's been cold so the inside air has been pretty dry. Should I be kicking the humidity up higher or is around 60% still a good standard?
Thoughts? Ideas?
Thanks in advance and please wish me luck. First hatch (I hope)
Bring on the coffee, the flashlights and the Prozac.

If you can get it up to about 75% that would be good but I've had good hatches at 40% so you should be fine

Good luck with your hatch

Nothing yet...I suppose this is going to take some time.

How do you get the humidity levels in the Brinsea eco 20 from dropping? I filled both wells, added a sponge and have been dripping water down onto it. It stays at 60 % for about an hour then drops again.
I was trying not to mess with the vent hole size because I am afraid the eggs wont be getting enough O2...
Have it about a quarter covered now.
Suggestions???

24 hours later and still nothing....
Ugh. I knew this was going to take some time ...
The house is much cleaner however, been trying to busy my hands...
I wonder how much Comet cleanser I've inhaled scouring surfaces?
