Lockdown TODAY! any last minute advice?????

were you able to get your humidity up? I've been struggling to get mine up since early this morning. I don't have any sponges either (thought I did!!) but I might try your washcloth idea.

Made a 312 mile (roundtrip) journey to Ohio to pick up a bunch of Mille Fleur eggs. I better get babies!

Today is day 17-18 for my broody, Im really hoping the eggs hatch. This is my second time trying, the first time was with a very OLD bator that had temp spikes that killed the eggs on day 17, so im hoping for the best.

my humidity is now at 60%....i'm trying to get the temp up. temps only at 96. so i'm having to adjust that.

i'm not sure how to get the humidity up any higher. i know it should be at 65-70%.....i'm struggling with it at 60% now.

Just remember not to rush it. Adjust the temp and let it sit for awhile to steady itself. I know it's so hard to sit back and do nothing, but usually that ends up being the best thing. Hope you have a good hatch.

will do Orion...i'm not touching it again for sometime...gonna let it set and see what happens. Going to go pick the corn outa our garden...then come back and see where we stand.

i'm planning on being around the house this weekend, that way I can check it in the morning and at night...making sure all is well.

It is so exciting, my first hatch, well hopefully. But my humidity is at 80%, will that hurt the babies?

Finally got the humidity up...it's now at 70%. Temp is perfect for now too. Just hoping that it stays there!!!! I notice that with my make-shift bator when I add water it brings the temp down...and not just temporarily. Also, before I add water I test it with a thermometer to get it to match inside the bator.

Nicole~Did you get your temp up yet?
