10 Marans .........I doubt seriously that the remaining Marans egg is going to hatch, just a hunch.

The rest of the Olive eggers and all the Welsummers are taking their time. Lots and lots of pips.

I have four so far. One hatched out during the night. I see two more pips.

They aren't really due until today, well, this evening, actually, because I put them in in the evening.

Morning Iggi!

Congrats on the babies! Mine weren't due until today but the Marans decided to come early. I think that I set them fairly early in the morning (lol...can't remember, I don't even try to keep track of what time I set them.) I didn't even candle these eggs this time just threw them in and crossed my fingers.

I have another very silvery blue future Olive Egger and the first Wellie is here.

How many did you set and what were they? (Sorry if you have answered this before.....so many threads to read and so little time + my overloaded brain= forgetfulness)

I get excited every time and the thrill has not gone away! I love it.......most of all I hate parting with some of them but I must. DH would explode if I didn't.

I set their water bottle on top of a chick, not realizing, and left it there.

Of course it died. (This is a Cackle chick, not a chick I hatched myself.)
