Locked in the coop....

My new coop is done!!! Was so excited to go out and feed the girls in the morning.... went in to feed them and... yes.... the door locked behind me... how I don't know, but it did. I got locked in my own chicken coop people. I need a new lock now because of course no one was home to let me out, so I had to break the lock. Oh the joys of raising chickens. I never knew it would be so adventurous, fun and horrifying all at the same time.

Okay. This sounds like one of the few advantages of having a no-human-access coop. The day I get locked in my coop will be one sad day indeed.

My main coop is tarps over a geodesic dome yes ended up buying another tarp had to cut one to get out darn door stuck

I won't lie.... my pride was damaged alittle to say the least....

Yep, once in the coop and once in the run. Needless to say, both were modified to open from the inside after those events.

Hmm, never thought about that. My coop door latch can be turned from the inside as well as outside, so unless the entire thing jammed, no risk of being locked in.
