lone duck egg hatching NOW..advice needed please

Ok I give up the helping here... you seem willing to kill it.. you're convincing yourself that you're doing the best you can and doing everything great.. how should he stand up while he's chilling and exhausted from stuffing him with egg yolk and water 24 times a day.... and you unshelled him while hatching even after telling that what you done is wrong you went saying he can't hatch on it's own... I can't stand reafing every reply with more anger going in me while I'm watching you killing this poor creature..... he's the strongest duckling ever... no other would survive allll of that... bye....

You really need to get him a heat lamp not a mat. A mat will not produce enough heat for one that young. Think of it as if he was under the mother. Heat would come from above not below. Best of luck with him.

i DID go out and buy a heat lamp as soon as jammy suggested it, and i certainly don't like your attitude majd...there is NO NEED to be so nasty and callous

everything i did for him, i did with the advice i found on here, as well as ringing a friend of mine who breeds ducklings

it was on here that i saw to give a drip of water and egg yolk every hour or two....and i WASN'T doing it 24 times a day

this site is supposed to be here to HELP people, and if you can't be nice, then don't say anything at all

and just for those that HAVE been nice in their answers....Rocky is perking up all the time. i've been giving him some niacin and he's almost on his feet now, his eyes are open and he's eating and drinking on his own...so thank you to the FRIENDLY people on here that have helped me x

thank you
