Hi all! I've got my one little Muscovy duckling outside in her brooder (predator-safe now). She has food, water, heat etc, but is peeping her head off pretty much constantly. I'm sorry I'm so duck-ignorant, but I know with chickens, they hate to be alone. Could she be peeping because she's alone, or is that just what they do? She didn't peep like that in her tub in my bathroom, but she was hearing people all the time. Now she's just got the chickens to look at.
I could probably get another duckling, but only really wanted one... She sounds like a little mallard duckling I heard yesterday that had gotten separated from her mom & siblings.
Anyone?
